    God’s Got You

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. (John 10:29). Jesus once made the profound statement that not one of those the Father had given Him was lost, except the son of perdition. There are many Christians around the world struggling with sin. A lot of them are wondering if, like Judas, they were born to go to hell or born to fail. Our Father loves each of us equally and knows how to take care of His own. He will make it extremely difficult for any of us to be lost at the end of…

    You Lack Nothing

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2 Peter 1:3). I know it is hard to believe that we have everything we need when our circumstances and reality says something different, but despite what I may identify as lacking in my life, I still maintain the position of believing God, and I encourage you to do the same. There are many perceptions that we have that needs to be corrected. We inherited a lot of the mindset that we perpetuate to our own detriment. For example, we tend to focus…

    Human Being or Human Becoming?

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. (1 John 3:2 – NKJV) I am convinced more than ever that the crisis the world faces today is one of identity. We don’t know who we are and because we function from that place, the issues that flow from our hearts and into creation is a very destructive one by virtue of who we are, and what we can do by thought, emotions, and speech. We do have an effect…

    God’s Free Gift To You

All are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:24) “Justified” is by far one of my favorite words. To be justified means that we have been declared sinless, just as if we did not sin. This applies to all sins: past, present, and future. Yes, it can be argued that we are unworthy and undeserving, but having the same mind as Christ will open our eyes to the fact that God truly loves us. He could have put conditions on His grace, but He didn’t. He extended His love to us free of cost. Sin separated us from God but God dealt…

    Getting Unstuck

And these signs will follow those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. (Mark 16:17-20). The word “unstuck” seems to be a reoccuring one in the kingdom…

    Contemplative Prayer

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. (Ephesians 6:18 – NLT). Prayer is the one spiritual principle, technology and discipline that I have struggled with all my Christian life. The root of my struggles is really my expectation. If I am praying to a living God, in the way He says I should pray (in the name of Jesus), then naturally I expect answers. I expect results, I expect to produce fruit from my prayer. If this doesn’t happen, and for a very long time it didn’t, then I assume I am praying wrong.…

You Are A Son of God

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15). The real crisis that this world faces is an identity crisis. We don’t know who we are, so we assume all different kinds of identities based on how we are labeled, perceived, and raised by our families, associations and community. What we don’t realize is that all these are actually false identities. No human being can truly define Himself outside of God, because He sits at the very foundation of creation. His identity, His…

    You Have Holy Spirit

God set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. (2 Corinthians 1:22). As a new believer in Christ, we are often given some external practices that is said to help us get started on our journey. We are told to read our Bible daily, pray to God daily and not to forsake the assembling of ourselves weekly. These are foundational principles that churches usually teach new converts. It’s all good, but there is one fundamental truth that I wish I was taught as a new believer; the Holy Spirit is real, He lives inside us, and…

    Practice of Prayer

But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. (Matthew 6:6 – NLT). I want to continue my discourse on the practice of prayer. If you are a believer, and when ask about the practice of prayer, your response is, “I just can’t find the time to really pray,” there is a great chance you don’t understand what prayer is. If you can receive this revelation on prayer, you can be liberated knowing that you have more than enough time to pray, and you can do it anytime, anywhere. We…

    Encountering God’s Love

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 – NLT). I had a conversation the other day, and I held to the view that God’s love cannot be taught, only experienced. I believe this because, firstly, God is love…
