I believe that the fullness of what it means to be human is still a mystery that eludes us. God speaks well of us in Scripture, and His definition of us is seemingly unattainable for mere human flesh. But there is more to us than meets the eye. The value God places on us, that He would be willing to leave His divine throne and come to earth as a man, to live, suffer, and struggle against status quos, indifference, and ignorance is beyond understanding. Why would a perfect God do all that for imperfect beings who had no value, unless He sees and knows something we don’t. The goal then is
God knew we would be here, right now and in our particular geographical location. Scripture plainly tells us our names were written in the Book of Life before the world was created. It also says our names can be blotted out based on the choices we make during our appointed years. You have a grand opportunity and responsibility to make sure your name remains in that book, because you are indeed the ‘One’ God choose before the earth’s foundations were established.
Father, thank You for choosing me. Thank You, that even though I may not feel like it, or understand Your choice to see and treat me as something of great value, I can choose to receive Your love. You must have chosen me for a reason, and a specific purpose, so may You bring enlightenment and understanding to who I really am in You, in Jesus Name. Amen.
