So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. (Colossians 2:10 – NLT)
To be in Christ is a privileged position. We have been declared sons of God through Jesus Christ. We have been declared the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. We are direct representatives of Jesus Christ Himself here on Earth. Can we fathom such a position? We are sinners declared righteous and handed the keys to God’s kingdom here on Earth. Whatever we loose on Earth is loosed in Heaven and whatever we bind on Earth is bound in Heaven. As Jesus is, so are we. The fullness of the Kingdom of God dwells in us, not partially, but complete in Christ. In other words, everything that God wants to do on Earth, He intends to do through us. We are complete in Him, lacking nothing.
“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Colossians 2:9), and Christ lives in us through His Holy Spirit, “For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him [Christ]” (Colossians 1:19), then in us.
Ephesians 3:16-19 – I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
What can we say to such things, except “Wow!”
Father, help me to see just how complete I am in You. You have given me everything I need for life, and for godliness. I ask that You activate Your kingdom and power within me, that it will flow out into the world, and impact those who I encounter today, in Jesus Name.
